Thank you for your input, I actually do appreciate it. My parents simply aren’t willing to pay for me to eat vegan. We tried it out for a month and my parents just said they couldn’t keep it up, and it also was hard to make myself meals for school and everything. I plan on pursuing the diet once I find a job, but until then I don’t want to be insulted by the select few who think of themselves as higher beings due to their diet.

No one has any right to insult you because you are essentially transitioning to becoming a vegan. It’s only specifically vegetarians that are permanently vegetarian for animal welfare that vegans have a problem with, because dairy products are just as bad, if not worse due to the prolonged torture involved. No matter how long it takes, you know what your plan is and especially as a school student without a job it will be an incredibly difficult decision to make without parental backing. At least you’re doing something in the mean time. I have no problem with people who are transitioning to becoming vegan. If you try to do it overnight you’ll be destined for failure anyway. I think part of the reason I have found it so easy is that my process was very gradual, over a year.. I was pecetarian, then vegetarian and now vegan. Good luck with your journey!
