Nor does desensitizing ourselves to accept these images as “just how it is.” Images of animal abuse and a ravaged environment should always be shocking, and they should always inspire you to do something. In the same way we cannot ignore the carnage of past wars, we have to live with the reality that this REALLY happens and makes changes so that it never has to happen again. I hate being the bearer of bad news. You think I like talking about the slaughter of billions of animals? Absolutely not, but I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.
